I've only watched "Monk" a few times, but I do like what I've seen.
I like "House" too, but the plots always seem to evolve with the same pattern.

Aww rough look is always good!!

Yes I agree with you about the end.
It always seems like they get a mystery case
they diagnose it
then the patient starts dying
so they rediagnose it
patient dies again
then House has an apiphany (sp.)
and its solved LOLOLOL

I love monk too. Did anyone see the one where captain Stottlemyer? hit the guy he thought was messing with his wife with a yoyo? The yoyo was part of his anger management class , but he got so mad he hit the guy in the face with it.!!! lol .

I don't get to watch it all the time , but I hate that it's the last season.

btw-- Did you know that the guy who plays stottlemeyer (spelling) is the same one who played the guy who skinned the girls in "Silence of the Lamb" ?

Oh yeah looked on wikipedia. and his name is Ted Levine

Oddly, my six year old daughter LOVES Monk and has loved to watch it since she was four. We always tell her to cover her eyes early in the show when the bodies typically turn up, which she does obediently every time! (We explain it to her sans gore.) She became hooked at a time when we didn't even have cable or satellite TV and rented the past seasons on dvd from Netflix. We now have Dish Network but none of us ever know what is on in advance, so if we happen upon Monk by happy accident we all pile into our "big" bed and watch it together.

My daughter asked for a lab microscope and fingerprint kit for Christmas, so I guess she has designs on detective work and forensic science in the future.

Ted Levine is terrific, I had no idea that he was the creepy guy from "Silence of the Lambs".... yuck! I will have to revisit that movie to take a closer look at him.

Loved the episode of Stottlemeyer & the YOYO. He was also in "Memoirs of a Geisha" Remember the dialog between Mr. Monk & Natalie when they were following his wife and they go by a founatin and there was an uneven amount of coind in it so Monk wants Natalie to take out 13 cents? I can still hear Natalie saying "It would haunt you?"

As for "House" He is such a jerk and I deal with enough jerks all day long, I don't need to watch one for entertainment.

I love monk and all the CSI 's and Law and Order"s

I also like some of the "weird" shows like Dexter. I used to like Dead like me and Six feet under? . Think that's the name -- It has got the same guy as Dexter as the gay son. Dexter is ultra violent and gory but still very good.

BUT --since I got the internet on and discovered BYC (and I've also doing my family genealogy ). I forget to look for when all the shows come on. As long as I got the internet I think I could do without tv . -- I also love old movies
