Who might be interested in a chicken swap in Tampa, FL area???

I'm considering hosting one - it seems that we could sure use one around here!

We have 3 acres about 4 miles off of I-75 in the Wesley Chapel area just north of Tampa.

I think I'd like to do it no later than the first of April (gets too hot for my blood!)

We have (of course) electricity, water, and a completely fenced-in property (chain link). We plenty of wide open space...and we have a grill if we want to make hot dogs, drinks, etc.

I don't want to do this if only a very few people bring things to sell - it seems like bigger swaps have more to offer.

Where have you advertised (other than here)?

What do you guys think?? What do I need to know to host a good swap? Who might be interested?

There is a thread with all of the upcoming swaps and events with the dates and contact information. I use this as a guide to see what is going on for the date I am considering as at times there are more than one swap planned for a particular date and some people would like to go to both, but can't if they are on the same date.

I would definately be there. Just hop skip down interstate for me. Also advertising is best at feed stores craigslist and tampa for sale. anything free. Yes the bigger the better. Let me know date and will be there.

ok, we need a date for yours! I am gonna be up to my eyeballs in chicks. The firts and last saturdays have swaps /shows. How about the second or third sat? We need to get this going or i will swith back to March...............LOL Just playing~
