Some of my chickens show me affection by dancing to me (roosters), coming when I call them, or just jumping in my lap for some attention. The silkie is my arms in my picture is named "Splash". Her favorite thing might be her occasional bath in the sink, followed by sitting on a towel and dried with my hairdryer. She loves to just hang out in the house for awhile. She became separated from her roo (a large white silkie), and spent several months very depressed and chanted a lot. I was afraid she had gone crazy. But recently, I found her a new partner, and she is walking like a diva these day, and they are almost inseparable.
I guess all of you know now, that I think some chickens are very special pets.

roosters dancing for you are looking for love and consider you one of the hens.

Well, I could do worse! They are very charming but I would like to hook them up with a hen or two.
