We did at first but as our ducklings grew so did there nails and being muscovy there rather um, large lol so we moved onto a plastic bottom sandbox and then moved onto the current set-up of a large plastic kiddy pool.

We just got a small plastic, kiddie pool for our ducks. They don't have a ramp, but we probably should get one. Seem to get in and out okay, but don't want any broken limbs in the process. Saw a neat picture where someone had one of these pools surrounded by landscape blocks, think we will do the same.

the prob is i only got limited space where im going to put them in a few weeks or so

its a 11ft long by 5ft wide stone shed with a outside run but not a big one

and the plastic pools i can get here are pretty big and would take like a big space in the shed

thats why i wanted a plastic storage tub or a smallish blow up kiddie pool

I've got several of the Rubbermaid plastic storage tubs set around the duck yard. I use the ones with low sides, so that the ducks can get in and out.

They aren't really deep enough to swim, but the ducks can get their feet wet and have a bath. They love those tubs and use them frequently.

i use the pastic kiddie pools for my ducks. they are of decent size and do not pop

the ducks climb into them easy and you dont have to spend time blowing them up
i got mine at toys r us for 15 dollars

I use the 4" concrete blacks inside and outside of the tubs so they can get in and get out. I have found ducks trapped inside a pool when there wasn't a block for them to use to get out and the water was not deep enough to help them over the edge. They look so pitiful standing there quacking.
I have tubs, barrels cut in half, buckets, anything that holds water for them to get water and some big enough to get their body in.

Hubbie cut barrels in half the lined the rim for saftey and corked the hole. This will sound redneck but under it, it is held in place with concrete block. Then they have a small ramp coming out with grips on it. I'll have to get pics...
Outside it is a small wood deck made out of materials that used to be a shavings barn. We have to have a couple of these in the pen and they are hard as Hades to clean. So we turned the ducks out and built them this...lol

Still a pain to clean since we used a plastic liner ....

what kind of ducks? can you get a small sandbox? we used one for awhile here.. by little tikes it was a turtle just our ducks outgrew it.. the issue we had with the blow up is there claws i mean i know this varies based on breed but ours popped it when still young...
