Yes, I would love to see them fly, but its an eight hour trip to the closest flyover in Alabama. Its really great watching them on their new live cams, though. Yesterday's flight was great, with the cam on the "trike" - ultralight. When they are on the ground we can see them twice a day if they have the crane cam up. The "costumes" as we call those taking care of the chicks, take them pumpkins along with their food. It's really a lot like watching the antics of our little chicken chicks. They never see a human without a costume on so they don't get used to people. They have a puppet head they use to teach them to eat, etc. Once in Florida, they will teach them to forage for the little crabs they eat and how to break them and eat them. Once it is time for the spring migration back to Wisconsin, they are on their own.
