Hello all !!!
My family was blessed to get some FREE bantam, duck, and standard eggs. 2 ducks, about 17 bantams and 9 or so standards. I figured since I didn't post this thread before hand I would expand the time. I hope I find some hatching buddies !!!
But I think the standard eggs are in bad shape !! The bantam eggs are good, about 97 degrees, the ducks are just a bit cooler, maybe 96-97, but we had no more space for the regular eggs and had to put them in the low 90's area ! ): I saw an article from Brinsea that said eggs can develop in the high 80's even, and these eggs are about 95 degrees, but GOSH it's going to be such a late hatch !! I'm not sure of fertility rates, but I do know I'll be getting some silkie x mille fleur bantams !! I'm so excited !!
I'm also kinda hoping for a duckling, but with only 2 eggs there isn't that high a chance with my amateur skills. However, about the standard eggs, on day 13 I'll candle and be able to tell which ones didn't make it/quit, and then there's gonna be room for them. But still... late. late. late.
