Who's your daddy?

I'd love to look at more, honestly

I also love the "one of every breed/color!" Flocks.
(That's what mine is. But, most of what was available were all black feathered. So most my birds, and their offspring, will be black. My Black Ameraucana pullet turned out to be a cockerel. My original cockerel didn't make it, was a crested cream legbar)

I've found that kippenjungle has issues with certain colors, patterns, etc.
For example, it can't predict "paint" (dominant white crossed with another color)
there are several breeds it doesn't recognize (it doesn't recognize "deathlayer")
Deathlayers are transverse pencilled. They are also called Totlegers.
Here's "Dusty". Feeling confident hopeful she's a hen. She's in her 12th week.

Suspected dads:
~ Buff Brahma
~ Bielefelder mix
~ Silver Deathlayer

Suspected moms: *<sigh>* Nearly any of them.
~ Buff Orpington, Chocolate Orpington, Lavender Orpington
~ Black Australorp
~ Dark Brahma, Light Brahma
~ Gold laced Wyandotte, Silver laced Wyandotte
~ Deathlayer
~ Welsummer

Points to consider:
~ Pink legs with a faint gray hue. No boots.
~ Prominent single comb, wattles, and red earlobes.
~ Very few parents could contribute that silver top and shoulders.
~ Even fewer could contribute the mahogany "chips" that are increasing every day.

Looks cockerelish to me. What does the Bielefelder mix look like? I assume that's the father. I want to say buff Orpington for the mother but only if the Bielefelder mix is silver based.

"Bealy Idol" is the Bielefelder cross rooster. Not sure of his lineage, but he's reported to carry the blue egg gene. Looks like gold to me, not silver. He's got the mahogany though, that's for sure.

Wow, I'd never guess he's a mix! Well if that's the father (I can't imagine it being a Deathlayer or Brahma) then the mother must be a silver laced Wyandotte who passed on the single comb gene. And definitely a cockerel. For sure.

Alright, friends. The final mystery bird. Saved the prettiest for last. 😍

Here's "Fawkes". Looks like a roo to me. He's in his 12th week.

Points to consider:
~ Rose or Pea comb.
~ Nearly all black eyes.
~ Very few parents could contribute that silver top and shoulders.
~ Gold laced feathers on back (more every day).
~ So much green and purple sheen in that black.
~ Clean legs, slate.

Actually that's a rose comb, not a pea comb! The Deathlayer is definitely the father!
Mother is probably the gold laced Wyandotte.

I agree with death layer parent, I gotta say I saw the first image and went "12 weeks now, the combs so little it's probably -" then saw the ACTUAL 12 week pics not the 8 weeks 🤣 yes a very handsome boy, my reading comprehension though is bad lol

Okay but I did the same thing XD...

Hey thanks, guys. I was suspecting (hoping really) that the Deathlayer was the dad, and that the Gold laced Wyandotte mom put in the gold.
(Definitely not a Deathlayer mom, we didn't hatch any white eggs).

Daddy Ozzy was soon lain beneath a new Elderberry bush. R.I.P. Glad we get his continuance in Fawkes. 🥹
Sharon, our Deathlayer hen, is still with us. Maybe next spring she'll bless us with some more of those Deathlayer genes. 😘
