Why are all my chickens eggs cracking!?

7 out of 8 eggs that my chickens have had in the last week have cracked, what is the deal!?

Are you giving them oyster shells?

I recommend buying oyster shells from the feed store and giving it to your flock in a bowl in the coop. I actually mix some into my feed, but most folks put it in a bowl I think. They eat what they need to make their eggshells strong.

Also in the winter if your eggs freeze that will make them crack.

Try the calcium. The feed store's oyster shells are nicely chopped up for chickens to eat.
