Why are my chicks crops never full?

I have hatched out at least 200 chicks or more in the last few years but their crops never seem full?

Assuming most of them make it to adulthood, and taking you at your word that you have never seen a full crop on over 200 chicks......"Operator Error"

Mine never seem to show huge crops either. But they eat a lot. It goes thru them fast.
