Why are my lavender Orpingtons’ feathers coming in curly?

I have three lavender Oprington chicks from the hatchery. They are now three weeks old. Two of them are feathering out with curly feathers. What is going on? They are eating premium starter feed.

It is likely the “shredded” feathers so common in lavender colored birds. The “shredder” gene is associated with the color.😊
 
Thanks! So this means they aren’t sickly?
If they are eating and drinking and acting normal then no they are not sickly. Google photos of lavender Orpingtons and you will see many of them have these shredded feathers specially towards the wings and base of the tail.😊
