I recently posted about a Silkie that was broody and one day I found her head completely bald. Some suggestions were to find the culprit that was picking on her. Well, now I went out and three more Silkies are scalped! I only have eight chickens, including a Silkie roo. I don't understand what is going on. The original scalped Silkie is still hiding in a nesting box. I no longer think she's broody, she's not even on any eggs now, just seems to be hiding. She did come out while I was there, but went back in after a bite and a drink. The other scalped Silkies are mulling about with the others, but I stood there for a while, observing them, and don't see any picking-on happening. I don't know which one(s) are doing this or why. They've been getting along great for the last year, now suddenly several are scalped. What is happening and what can I do?
