Why are Silkies so disgusting?

How is it that a Silkie's poo is so much more vile and repulsive than a normal chicken's?

Is there any way to help firm it up?

Hmmm...could it be what you are feeding them? I cannot say that I have ever noticed that with any silkies that I have owned.

My Silkie's isn't gross either. Just normal chicken poop.

Have you wormed them lately? If so, just add a little bit of cooked white rice to thier diet and it will firm it up.

I've never found anything disgusting about Silkies, not even their poop.

I have to agree with everyone else. I love my Silkies and it has to be the feed.

I've noticed silkie poo has a very different smell than my other chickens. I first noticed it in the brooder. I think I even posted a topic about it way back when. Feed them some yogurt, it should provide them with some good bacteria and make them less stinky.

it is the really runny stuff.

I am feeding them Purina Layena.

I think they need to be wormed. What do you recommend?
