Why are there 2 Message Boards for BYC?

As a newbie, I was wondering why there was 2 message boards here at BYC?

Originally there was a BYC message board, sort of like this one...the original owner of the board passed the reins to Chickchair who because she didn't have the authorization made it an EZBoard site. Now EZBoard is switching to something called YUKU and is being "upgraded". EZBoard has something called EZSupporter which helps pay for that particular board. We have a bunch of money in our Community Chest for our EZBoard BYC, which we will lose if we shut the board down completely. CC wants to keep both boards until the money is all used up. Then we will just have this board.
