why did my babbies die

got 10 chicks all was going well,after week and a half old feed them bread,all got sick and 5 died. i didn't think we feed too much bread, do i have my medicated water to strong?or was it the bread thing.

Were they vaccinated if so what for. What was your water medicated with? Did you feed medicated feed? Where were you brooding your chicks? How old were they when they died?

What else did you feed them besides bread?

They can't digest the bread unless they have grit. Also, bread isn't the best thing to be feeding chicks, because it expands with the moisture in their crops and they can get impacted.

Just feed them starter feed and at 2 weeks let them free range and give them very thin sliced strawberrys and grapes. That's it!
