Why did my Rouen Drakes Feathers TURN so Dark?

Yes, it is normal. They have two plumages during the year and breeding plumage is bright and dark. They molt rather quickly and at about 12 weeks molt into that pretty adult feathers. In the spring, he'll molt back to plain.
