Why didn't they hatch?

My 2 silkies went broody at the same time and one had 3 eggs, the other had 5. I had gotten rid of all the infertile ones that didn't grow. It is now day 23 and nothing I'm so sad why didn't they hatch? what went wrong do you think? they're still sitting on them and I feel really bad for them.

could it have anything to do with the high temps we had late last week? it was 94* and very humid.?

could just need more time. day 25 i would worry then. did you candle the eggs, were they fertile

Give more time could take longer since they are not in an incubator. Birds know how to hatch eggs, been doing it Infinitely. Good luck.

yes, they were candled, I got rid of all the ones that didn't grow... which were all the ones from my hen who hates roosters!!!! so you'd give it a couple more days then?

Oh, one more thing... they were in an incubator at one point, and I transferred them to the hens, could they have gotten ruined in transit?

they were at my friend's house. I put them in a plastic bag, then tucked them under my shirt to keep them warm.. while blasting the heat until the 2 chicks I transported, were happily warm.
