I got Bekaham as a chick. I noticed that part of her nose was poked out, and I have never understood why. Does anyone know the reasoning for this?

I guess I am not sure what you’re talking about looking at the picture. Is there something wrong with her nares?

Why do they Polk a whole in the upper beak. You can see it in the picture.

Both sides of his beak.

From the side view I think I can see an indentation. It looks like she injured her beak and it’s growing back. I am not aware of breeders doing things to beaks.

One nostril is removed and there's a hole.
To me it looks as if your cockerel has damaged his beak/nose by scratching it against something like metal fencing or a metal feeder.

The enlarged nare could be caused by something like snot or feed or similar clogging it and then be removed.

I got him as a chick. Its always been missing. The person I got it from stated he did it to 'mark' it.
