Why do I have bare-bellied chickens?

I have 2 white leghorns that are missing the feathers on their bellies. They don't seem bothered by it and have laid an egg a day everyday since February with very rare exceptions. Is it possible they are molting? We are fairly new chicken owners so excuse our ignorance if they are just molting. I attached some pictures. Sorry for the dirty fingers, I had just been digging in the garden!

Im pretty sure they arent molting this early, but maybe broody? i didnt think leghorns really went boody, but thats the only other hing i could think of. regardless, they should be fine.

The only time I've ever seen bare bellied bellies is with my EE that went broody...I would think that if they were moulting that there would be other signs...like feathers everywhere, scraggly looking girls, etc.

If you'll look in your nesting boxes, you'll probably find those feathers. All my broodies have warm bare bellies. Since they're still laying, they may be laying their clutches, and one day soon will stop laying and refuse to leave the nest box.

My guess, anyway.
