why do my chickens look smaller than their age

Is it just me or do my chickens look a lot smaller for their age than they should.
Heres a picture of them

I'm not an expert, but they look just fine (and very well-feathered) for four months. And they are beautiful birds! What makes you think they're too small?

They look fine.....and there's nothing for scale(like a tape measure or yardstick) to know how big they are.
Any chance they are bantams or bantam mixes?

They kind of look like bantam cochins/bantam crosses.

From the body shape in the picture, they look like bantam.

Your chickens look very nice. Impressive color pattern on your rooster, definitely a keeper.

They may well be very attractive bantams.

I agree with others that they may be bantams. From what I can see in the pics, their legs look shorter than most large fowl breeds. But the feathered legs could be throwing me off.
