why do my chickens look smaller than their age

sorry, I should have been clearer. They are pekin Bantams, but I thought they looked small, even for bantams. I saw other pekin and at the same age they looked much more plump and round. My bad, I should have mentioned!

I'm not an expert, but they look just fine (and very well-feathered) for four months. And they are beautiful birds! What makes you think they're too small?

chicken starter feed (layer feed once the bags finished) and what do you mean by feeding method? I feed them through a feeder.

Most of us use feeders but there are many types. Some also toss out feed a few times a day. More than one method to feed animals.
