It's almost like they are allergic to the fresh air. Inside the brooder with the screen top they're fine. But whenever I lift the lid and take them all out for a little run in my room. They all start to have sneezing fits, their noses will run, they'll itch their faces, and they'll fling their snot. This will last 10-15 minutes after I put them back in their brooder. After that they are perfectly fine. Eyes nice and clear. No sneezing. Are they used to their stinky chick poopoo air or something? Does fresh air irritate them? LOL!

I wish I knew something to tell you. I am having a sneezing problem as well, except in the brooder. Would love to know more about chicks and sneezing!

The searches I've done have been mixed.

Mine are the same way when outside. I wish I knew why because it makes not want to take them outside and they have to move out eventually!

I would venture to say the colder air being outside the brooder is making them sneeze.

mine kick up a lot of dust when I chase them around to catch them. Is there a lot of commotion in the brooder when you catch them to take them outside?
