why do my quail do this?

Yah they plan things I swear....I had acouple get out of a cage when i was changing water...I come back....one comes around the corner, spots me and runs around the back. I hear cheeep cheeeeeep and then BROOOOOOOMZ they are going flying every which way lol.
But I do love my little quails

I have a about a dozen in my house. They live in cages inthe living room. They get free reign of the house (my house is a mess, I live with 5 men, so I don't care) and they fly all over and play. Yours is just cold, she is warming up.

I love my quail!! I have heard that ruffeling can be a sign of sickness as well. But I bet she is just getting warm, We just got some cortunex quail and will be adding them to our bobwhites here in a couple of days. I just love listening to them talk to eachother when I throw some corn in the avary. Crystal
