Why do roosters crow in the first place ??

Warning for danger
To establish dominance over the flock
To wake up the flock
To call the flock together
Mating calls

I think the biggest reason is territory. Where I live there are no other roosters in hear shot. My two boys do not crow very often at least compared to when I lived at the old place and the guy down the road had chickens and it seemed as though I had a rooster crowing all the time, basically answering the ones down the road.
