Why do you own a rooster? Take the poll.

Hi everyone,
I know a lot of people here own roosters and I would like to know the reason why you own them, although there is probably reasons why you don't own them also. Just take the poll above and whatever I forgot to put please share it in the thread.

That's one of the reasons I own one too.

I currently am down to six roosters. I keep them for breeding to the SOP, to warn the hens of approaching danger, and to train new birds up right. They're just all around useful.

I mainly keep a rooster for breeding but the rooster is also a good companion for the females.

Interesting, I just wanted to see the reasons WHY. With all the restrictions aimed at keeping folks rooster less - makes Roosters sound like public enemy No.1
