His crow has come along way in a few weeks (started at 8 weeks, and is now 12 weeks) and I noticed yesterday that he started to have thus weird exhale/release of extra breath after he's done crowing?
First rooster, is that normal(ish)?

Yes. If you do a quick little scream you most likely will breathe normally after, but if you do a big loud scream that lasts a few seconds you are going to take a big deep breath afterwards. Same thing for the roosters. When they do the longer louder crows they are not breathing during that few seconds. The long they hold their breath for that crow the bigger breath they will take when finished.

Yes, normal.....alarmed me with my first crower too.
Found the answer to my worries here on BYC.
