This is a chick that I got this fall, They were all d/o chicks. "It" was part of a mixed layer order. Supposedly sexed to be all pullets!
I am seriously wondering if this chick could be a boy!
It is the only one of my (3 other reds) that have a reddish face, comb and waddles.
It has developed a bit slower than the other 3 red and my other chicks, it was also smaller, but has now caught up.
I checked it cape feathers and they do not seem to be pointy, and the legs do not seem any diffrent than my other chicks.
My roosters seem to favor this chick, it gets pecked at way more than any of the others!
I had to seperate then today because, this chick now has a bloody spot on her/his comb tip (it's bleeding) I don't want it to get hurt...
What do you feel this chicky is? If It's a boy i am going to have to re-home him... Sigh...
Any isight as to if this is Frieda or Freddy?
Cheers,
Meg
