Why doesn't my chick have a tail?

They are a barnyard mix. All the rest of them have very big tails. They're all the same age.

Some breeds grow slower then others. I had that happen and they eventually caught up.

I’ve read roosters don’t grow tails as fast in some breeds? Otherwise, chicks develop at all different rates, just like kids. I wouldn’t worry about it. If it’s the chick I think it is, I see a tail, just smaller.
