Why ducks love new sod

Because it means watering often and that means clay puddles! And you know Blue (not so blue) ducks and clay puddles make for a lovely colored duck...

Isn't letting the ducks play on the sod and in the sod run-off water a bad idea? They use an obscene amount of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in sod production, and I would think that new sod would still have a large concentration left over.

Other than that, you have some beautiful and happy looking birds.
