why is his foot like this? :(

ok so this is my little silver sebright that hatched 2 days ago!!! and his little foot is crooked, and he walks on his elbow on that one side!! will he be ok? is there anything i can do? and what caused this?

I've seen this in my own chicks too, you could try making a splint (like a broken finger) sometimes that works or just wait and see, sometimes just there own weight as they grow will straighten out. Maybe it was a big chick in a little egg and there wasn't enough room in there

Our last chick had curled under toes on one foot and we taped it. Here is a thread about the condition and what others did to correct it.

We personally used the two sticky parts of a band-aid/plaster. It was hard to get back off when we were done (she has fuzzy feet - now feathered) and her feet are not perfect but she now can run around when before she had a hard time just to walk.

Ok so I did that with duct tape!! But if he is still walking on his elbow what can I do? And it won't bend very easily!!
