I’ve notice that taming chickens is easier than taming wild aviary parrots (from parakeets to macaws). Is there a scientific reason why this is happening? Is it because the chicken has been domesticated for a thousand years while parrots are only one or two generations from the wild? Have any of you noticed this before?

Not to bash 🐓 (I love them with all my heart) but on intelligence level … there is no comparison. Parrots and all the subspecies (to a different level) are highly social, problem solving , problem creating lol, intensly emotional (anger, love, sadness, conspiracy to do crimes 😂, mischief. Simple put, they do things with the ‘intent’. Evolutionarily, far more advanced. On the other hand , chicken … completely different social needs and skills.
