Why is my chicken not growing

I've had my chicken for 5 months he came from a egg he is a mix of a amrock and a red laying hen I'm not so sure of the breed name but it is surprising how small this chicken is because amrocks are big. My chicken has feathers that hang low like a serama but has no serama in his blood at all. I assume this chicken is fully developed because he crows perfect and he scares chickens that are bigger than him. I just wanna know why my chicken isn't growing and if he is healthy?

Well, it sounds as if he is perfectly healthy. It almost seems as if he has to have some bantam DNA.

and what did you feed it??? Poutry genetics are weird. The various "red sex link" production birds are all relatively small, though moderate to large birds are used as the parent lines.

Even so, diet - particularly in the first 8-12 weeks, can have a big impact on eventual size. In essence, did it reach its potential, or was that potential stunted by diet?

Yes because it is a mix of a amrock and a golden comet and at the time we didn't even have any bantams

Well as a baby when he first hatched I fed him medicated crumble and as he grew older we have him corn and rice just like all our other chickens and they grew perfectly fine
