Why is my hen frequently sitting down?

My about 14 month old barred rock has started sitting down a lot. She sits on chairs as well. I mostly noticed the sitting this morning, but she was acting a little different yesterday. She's also making this purring/coo noise almost, it escapes me at the moment if that is normal or not. My other hen isn't acting the same but she will sometimes sit down with her. The hen i'm worried also sort of closes her eyes like she's going to take a nap or something. Her tail isn't droopy or anything and she looks normal enough; but i'm still worried the same. She's acting normal except the sitting, cooing noise, and sleepy eyes. I haven't had a chance to look at her poo yet though, and she has yet to lay an egg today. Please help me figure out if there's a problem, thanks!

Check her vent to see if she is egg bound. You can take a rubber glove and insert a finger 1-2 inches and feel for a stuck egg. For egg binding a warm shallow bath, a dose of calcium (a Tums or calcium tablet give orally,) and massage the lower abdomen during the bath would help to pass the egg. Make sure she is eating and drinking. Check her especially under the vent for evidence of lice or mites. Make sure she has the use of her legs and isn't paralyzed.
