why is she so small?

So these chicks should be about 6 or so weeks old, but even though they are the same age the australorp very quickly outgrew the production red. While the australorp got to move outside with the other older chickies, Cal(the red) had to stay inside with the younger ones. Other than the fact she is very small, she seems perfectly healthy. I don't understand why she is so small though.

 
I've seen pictures of those ones, but they seem to be oddly proportioned and don't feather out well. She is proportioned normally and feathered just as fast as her friends so I'm not really sure.
 
I had a silkie last year that was perfect in every way, but it didnt grow, like yours it never moved outta the brooder box and played mama to sevral rounds of chicks before it died. good luck, hope you have better luck with yours.

Mine are small too. They all are until they reach 3 months. I keep them inside the house for the first 2 months or so. Once they go outside they seem to catch up. Or you have a bantam.
