Why my Chickens lay ther Eggs on the floor?

Hi everyone i'm getting bit mad with my leghorns they have plastic nest and some boxes with wood chips but they have been laying some times in those nests and some times on the floor
i can seem to find out why they do this dose anybody know why they do this.

When we had leghorns they did the same thing. It seemed they'd get overly anxious if they saw me taking their eggs right after they layed them so the next day would dig a nest on coop floor and lay there. They even would start making the nest in farthest corner so I had to crawl in to get them. This behavior slowed down waiting until they were free ranging to collect eggs. It never really stopped with the leghorns and were of the ones sold this spring to downsize.
