I have 2 isa browns .They were with 2 barred rock roosters.Today I rehomed the more aggressive rooster on a farm.Meanwhile I cant put my finger on it.I dont know if the crazy rooster may have tried to breed her to stress land or if she has taken interest in my 11 week old pullets. She has gone directly to the pullets coop 2 morning now and tends to linger there all day. She goes to the coop at sunset as usual .Today I opened the pullets coop and she went directly in and laid down with my babies. She is eating , drinking .Im so confused ! Isa browns are not really good moms so I've read and dont often go broody. Is it truely possible she feels they are her flock ? Or can there be more??? Any ideas? Its odd behavior to me for this breed .But she has always stayed close to their coop daily when free ranging .Can she be hiding from the said rooster that is gone now or can she possible have taken interest in this flock? the first pic she is laying left to my welsumer pullet. Its crazy shed rather be with these pullets than her sister hen that she is always with. Will she quit laying being with my pullets? What's going in with thick chick?
She ALSO HAS NOT LAID TODAY🤔Or is it just time to add the flock to the big girls coop now?? And NONE OF THESE PULLETS ARE HERS 🥰😂
