I have always wondered while I have been in the farming hobby why people keep quail and pheasants I know people eat them do they keep them for pets or what????

Quail grow fast, take up very little space, eat less, eggs taste good, meat tastes great, easy to kill and dress. I don't eat my chickens, but I raise quail mostly for economical meat.
why do people get goldfish?
