First off, I personally don't believe a word of what this guy said, but here it goes... I walked in to buy some bedding and realized there was a new manager. I walked up to him and asked him why there was no pine shavings in the store. He told me they were in the back so I followed him there. Then I thought I would ask this new guy if he knew why TSC wouldn't carry the Startena. He told me that it was because of animal rights activists and he was not allowed to sell it to me. Then he said they had to throw a shipment of it away two weeks ago. Then I asked him why they couldn't sell startena but they will gladly offer me 5 pound bags of manna pro. He said that he didn't know. Then we started fighting about they are false advertising. They are an authorized dealer, whey can't they sell me a purina product? He went back to animal right's activists and then complained about they were his customers. Then I left, is it just me or does this sound a little weird?

Ok Robert I Realize You're A Tad Young Yet... But Another Exercise In Wierd For You--- Call Up A Car Insurance Agent And Ask For A Quote On The "cheapest Car To Insure"

They Wont Tell You The Cheapest Car To Insure... Because Once You Have A Car They Always Find Some Reason Or Another As To Why It Costs This Much To Insure.

I Personally Would Have Had To Ask Exactly What "animal Rights Activists" Had To Do With It? I Mean They Sell Other Brands Of Purina Fowl Feeds?

thank goodness for my alachua farm and lumber, they carry purina game bird starter 30% and the FRM GBS 28%, funny if I fill 2 feeders, one with Purina and one with FRM, they empty the FRM first everytime...only thing I notice is the FRM is just a little more finely ground than the Purina.

both taste the same to me

They don't sell Startena, but if you ask for gamebird starter they will tell you that they do sell it. The 24% protein Dumor starter feed is supposedly for gamebirds, turkeys, meat birds, etc., says so right on the bag

PERSONALLY THE ONLY THINGS I USE TRACTOR SUPPLY FOR ARE LAWN MOWER AND TRAILER PARTS, ALL OF THEIR FEED PRICES ARE WAY HIGH COMPARED TO MY LOCAL FEED STORES AND THEIR LACK OF SELECTION AND CUSTOMER SERVICE JUST DOESNT SIT WELL WITH ME.

He pretty much blamed PETA and said the company wouldn't let him sell it because they complained. The employees have no idea what they are selling and don't care. I've had a lot of problems out of them, but this is the first time I even got an excuse for not having the feed. I made the last manager really mad when they sold me a bag of feed full of bugs and I told him I wasn't gonna leave until he gave me a new bag.

Time to tell the manager that you hope PETA will help him make rent this month because you're shopping somewhere else. Go find another store. Any store that upsets you this much doesn't deserve your business.

You should at least go in and check the feed, they mark down feeds that are close to their expiration dates to 'move' them quicker. I went to my local TSC one time and found 7-50# bags of purina chick starter marked down to $5 a bag. The expiration date was about 5 months later (they would have expired this month). That feed lasted me a total of 3 weeks (just using for chicks). I always stop in TSC when I'm in the area just to see if there are any good deals on feed
