You mention towels, does she throw the old ones out? I've had accumulation problems for years. I didn't buy towels or much from dollar stores. It has been more what has struck me as folk art, or stuff from certain periods in history. The initial purchase is sort of a rush and wonder at something you hadn't thought of, the artistry, and number of feelings. I try to just stay out of thrift/antique stores now. She probably finds shopping relaxing.

my father is worse than any woman... he brings home stuff all the time and never gets rid of anything because he might need it someday.. you can not walk in his garage,sheds and workroom because of all his junk... if its on sale he buys extra... but if you ask him where something is he can knows exactly where to find it

I only use the dollar store for wrapping paper. I hate to shop at all.

My DH haunts these dang flea markets all the time, looking at other people's junk. I want to clean out our bsmt and purge the stuff we'll never use, but he won't do it. He says we have nothing to sell at a yard sale. Baloney! He just wants to hold onto it all. BTW, I really don't care for Dollar Stores at all.
