I just added my 4 golden comets into a bigger coop. We built a room in the back for them to sleep. We have there nesting boxes back there to. Only one chicken goesback there and sleeps while the others sleep out in the open room on a roost around fencing. Is it because its more cool out or because its a new coop?

Probably because its a new coop. Try locking them in the new coop for a few days till they think of the new coop as home. Chickens don't like change and it takes a while for them to adjust. I usually lock down for about 3 days and then see what happens, if they still aren't using the new coop they get locked in again.
