Why would my chickens star laying smaller eggs?????????????

Have been going out about every hour or two and checking for eggs. The hens eggs are getting smaller every day. The older ones are about 2 now and the young ones are at about 14 weeks. One of the reasons I no they are getting smaller is I only have 5 that lay blue or green eggs and they are getting smaller. Feeding them good and water there all the time. Thanks for any help.

i think that they may be nearing the end of their egg time. some breeds only lay for a few years and then stop, but some lay for about 7

If you haven't treated your chickens for parasites, they may have worms. If they do---then they are sharing their nutrients with the internal parasites....and getting less for themselves to use to make eggs. Perhaps you would want to look into worming your flock.
