Why would you get Ducks?

I got ducks, because it was like hey! I already have chickens and they have similar needs for care and food...we have the space so why not.

annnnnnd this is why i now have Pekins ! i like both. but im def solid on hating Geese. lol UGH the experiences ive had w my in laws gander have been horrifying and annoying to both me as an adult and my kids .... thankfully after 2 years of having them stalk attack cars ,creep,up on you , hiss & charge and scare the living day lights outta everyone BUT my father in law - who they would still try and attack -they were sent to the sale barn. - NO GEESE ever lol

i love love love my pekins

they are amazing . my chickens are cool too but my pekins i chose for the friendly nature they were to have , production / meat they COULD have, climate they can withstand and they are a low maintenance very laid back bird . its a duck ... what duck isnt going to QUACK? lol

as long as they are happy. i doubt they will do much of any thing over chattering .

mine "talk" or chatter to me now - its adorable - i talk to them and they chatter back - so cute !!! mine peep or chirp LOUDLY when they want something or my attention - no biggie.. ... could be worse i suppose .. a barn full of Roosters!
