She just gave you two white Araucanas? The tufted, rumpless birds? Aren't those especially rare/expensive? Do they lay blue eggs?

Yep, I was wondering about the breed too....those aren't exactly barnyard mutts! Maybe they're just EEs and not purebreds, and maybe she gave them away because they're older hens.
I just gave away the 2yr olds thatwere laying the last 2 winters. I know egg production will drop drastically and I don't feed for nothing.
