Why?

I have three sapphire gem chickens ones a rooster ones a hen and I believe the other one is a hen to but it looks like a bared rock going back to the other hen she is all black so could somebody please tell my why they look nothing like a traditional sapphire gem ?

Some suppliers of chicks have a history of misidentifying/mixing up the chicks they sell.
