Wichitans are allowed to have 3 "fowl". Any more than that (up to 12)requires a $25 yearly permit. No roosters allowed.

It’s $50 a year in Shawnee after a $150 starting fee and home visit— for those that choose to do it. Everyone around here operates on a clean, quiet, contained policy, if no one complains no one really cares. Especially since the county lost its animal control a little while back.
