Wierd Laws

You want to talk about weird laws. I went on a few dates with a guy from England. He told me one of the towns near where he was from still had a law on the books (For historical reasons) that you could shoot a scotsman but only on Sundays and it had to be with a bow. I mean its not like anyone could get away with it now a days but I found that so funny. What kind of a law is that? I laughed so hard when he told me that.

I like the cupcake law too. Just thought I'd add my funny law.

when we were in california, we couldn't take anything HOME MADE to school for birthday's etc....

HAD to be packaged by the store or company etc.... so if you did want to take cup cakes - you would have to buy them and take them to school in those little plastic egg carton type thingies...

In Calgary, Alberta if they run you out of town they have to supply you with a gun & a horse.

Still on the books.

When I was a kid they had a TV show called "This Is The Law" and it had a "celebrity" panel (this is a Canadian program) that would see a skit and they would have to figure out what law was broken, pretty entertaining stuff (you know by Canadian standards)......

Odd Oklahoma Laws

1 It is illegal to have the hind legs of farm animals in your boots.
2 Dogs must have a permit signed by the mayor in order to congregate in groups of three or more on private property.
3 It is illegal to wear your boots to bed.
4 Fish may not be contained in fishbowls while on a public bus.
5 Tissues are not to be found in the back of one's car.
6 Oklahoma will not tolerate anyone taking a bite out of another's hamburger.
7 No one may spit on a sidewalk.
8 Females are forbidden from doing their own hair without being licensed by the state.

Dumb North Dakota Laws

1 It is illegal to lie down and fall asleep with your shoes on.
2 Beer and pretzels can't be served at the same time in any bar or restaurant.
3 It is legal to shoot an Indian on horseback, provided you are in a covered wagon.
