Wild bird feeders?

I have 2 spare wild bird feeders which are plastic and quite small. Could they be used as feeders for hens? It would be a shame not to use them. i was thinking as they are small the hens may have to search more, therefore keeping them entertained!

That depends on the design of the feeder, and what you're planning to put in it. Pellets? Crumbles? Scratch? Hard to answer without more facts. I can think of some wild bird feeder designs that would not work, but others that would.

I am looking at feeding them mixed grain (NOT GM) so I think these spare feeders could be good as I'm only looking at getting 4 hens.
