I have wild birds here in AZ that eat all my duck food. Is it okay that I pick up the duck feeder. Basically what I've been doing is putting it down for 30min when I let them out of there house in the morning. Then I pick it up and put it in the shed. Then again for 30min at noon. Then again for 30min at 5pm. Then I lock them up in there house at 7:30pm. And the same cycle the next day and so on. Is it okay that I do it this way? They do eat right when I put it down so I know they are eating.

It's fine - they know by now that it is eat when you have it out or wait.

My chickens/ducks are kind enough to share with the local cardinal population and the occasional other bird.

I feed my ducks once a day for the same reason and not only bcz I can't afford to feed all the wild birds... While I can't worry about everything, personally I just don't like the wild birds around for bio security reasons. Just me $0.02 Once your ducks are adults, they should be able to deal with food once or twice per day.

Do you have an option to feed them in the coop? the only thing i would make sure is the whole flock gets enough.. i have covered feeders some wild birds are about but not enough to make a dent in my feed... also my birds free range so are technically with wild birds and eating where they do all the time, that said if yours are having a chow down and depleting your feed that quickly I understand your issue is different.
