I thought my chickens were pecking my eggs for the longest time and then I figured out it was the wild birds. Any ideas how to stop them? The nests are in a horse stall open to the outside and I don't want my chickens in the barn. I tried covering the nests but the eggs still get pecked. I have fake eggs. Any other ideas?

I'd sure find a way to keep wild birds outof my nests, they can carry critters.... mites, etc, and diseases. My chickens aren't free range and the top of my pen is covered with fishing nets so NOTHING can get in.

Maybe block the entrance to the nests off with something making it a little harder for wild birds to get in, maybe a scarecrow like thing???????????????? Heck I don't know,

but I'd sure figure something out, and fast!!
