Wild duck setting eggs in a friends yard. Mission Viejo CA

I have some friends who are an older non chicken duck having family living in Mission Viejo CA. They have a wild duck sitting on 10 eggs in their front yard. They live to far away for me to help. Any advice on what they can do about this mamma duck would be appreciated. I don't think they really want it to stay around and they're worries about her health. The area they live is very suburban.

Hmmm, if it's a truly wild breed of duck, it may be illegal to do anything about them unless they are either in immediate danger or you have a permit to remove them. I would contact someone involved in wildlife management or a wildlife rescue agency to see if they can help.

I would leave them alone. It's migratory season here and illegal to even move them.
