Wild ducks with pet ducks

Anyone ever have a wild duck take up and start living with their pet ducks? We have a mallard that showed up one day and hasn't left. Been about 6 months now. He eats, sleeps, swims and mates with my other ducks. I thought it was kind of weird. Does this happen often? He can get kind of aggressive towards my females espcially when he was mating with them. Thanks for any input!

It happens. Sometimes captive raised mallards fly away from 'home'. When they locate another domestic flock, since they are habituated to human contact/presence they make themselves right at home.
